xtraCHEF was first founded on the premise that archaic, paper-based processes in back-of-house operations in restaurants across the country could easily be resolved by readily available enterprise technologies. In 2015, this idea to democratize enterprise technologies - such as Mobile, Cloud, Multi-tenancy, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Business Intelligence - began to take form.

Several years later, the company is growing and the product continue to evolve to meet the demands of a constantly shifting food and beverage landscape. The simple idea of bringing enterprise tech to the corner cafe is revolutionizing how the hospitality industry operates and is helping hundreds - and soon to be thousands - of restaurants to remain profitable.

A motivated leader with a propensity for building strong relationships and a passion for selling, Andy is driven to position xtraCHEF as a leader in the restaurant technology landscape. Prior to starting xtraCHEF, Andy worked as Senior V.P. of Sales & Marketing for nine years at MTS Software Solutions. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Gloria, and their two daughters – Lily and Kaya.

A big hoops fan, he's still known to serve up a jumper with extra sauce.

As the company's leader, Andy focuses on the company's strategy, relationships, and execution.

Bhavik has been in the enterprise document management and receivable management solutions game for more than 18 years. He brings to xtraCHEF his diverse experience in the design and development of software solutions as well as his business process savvy. Prior to building xtraCHEF, Bhavik served as the CTO of MTS Software Solutions where he was responsible for managing a multimillion-dollar eProducts portfolio of groundbreaking solutions, such as global check clearing solutions and mobile check deposit solutions for Fortune 500 companies.

Important Fact
Bhavik is also a foodie and loves to support our customers - not just by impacting their bottom-line.

Co-founder / CTO
Bhavik leads everything related to product and operations...turning ideas into implementation, development and support.

Chaz is a passionate chef devoted to his culinary craft and strives to always be creative and inventive in the kitchen. A graduate of the French Culinary Institute, Chaz Brown was credited as the Mid-Atlantic Chef of The Year in 2009.

Chaz has competed on Top Chef Season 9 as well as Around the World in 80 plates.

Chaz knows a thing or two about running a kitchen and his experiences on the ground provide critical insights on our product design and execution.

Dayna is responsible for developing relationships and establishing partnerships with enterprise accounts. With experience at other hospitality tech startups, Dayna joined xtraCHEF for its innovative approach to streamlining BOH operations. In her free time, Dayna enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband in Brooklyn, drinking martinis, eating Spanish food, and hanging with friends.

She's traveled to 16 countries recreating her grandfather's photos from 60 years ago.
Dayna Barringer

Dayna Barringer

Head of Enterprise
Dayna is a deal maker. She's all about creating partnerships with our customers and helping them realize the value of our product.

Prior to xtraCHEF, Jimmy spent several years building the onboarding & customer success team at ShopKeep POS.  Jimmy joined xtraCHEF to continue to help restaurants modernize their operations and become more efficient using technology. With nearly 10 years experience in food service, Jimmy to one day open my own restaurant.  When not working I’m a huge hockey, football, baseball and rugby fan.

Jimmy has a sandwich named after him at a restaurant he used to work...you'll have to ask him what they called it!

Customer Success Specialist
As a Customer Success Specialist, Jimmy brings a positive attitude and an ability to quickly resolve any challenges to each customer engagement.

Prior to xtraCHEF, Matt worked in Investment Banking providing M&A and strategic advisory services to a wide range of businesses with a focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). He also previously served as a CPA at Ernst & Young. Matt enjoys staying active through squash, cycling, and basketball and previously played lacrosse at Saint Joseph’s University.

Director of Finance
As the Director of Finance, Matt stays busy crunching numbers and keeping us on track to crush our financial goals.

John’s role is like that of a restaurant expeditor. He works hard to maintain communication across the house, to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time, and to ensure that the creative vision and brand are aligned with our most important resource – our customers. When not planning marketing campaigns, he enjoys planning family adventures with his wife, Cara, and two sons, Jack & Felix.

John enjoys pretending to be the Chopped Champion of his own kitchen...at least a few nights a week.

Director of Marketing
As Chef de Marketing, John dishes up words, images, and messaging to make it easy for folks to find us, know who we are and understand how we help.

Michaela came to xtraCHEF by way of a retail technology startup and a Venture for America fellowship. Her role on the Marketing Team combines her passion for great restaurants with her knack for creating compelling content.

Michaela wrote her college admissions essay, entitled “Eating is my Sport,” about how much she loves food.

With an extensive operations background at Hillstone Restaurant Group, Samantha is truly passionate about the hospitality industry and the synergy between people and food. At xtraCHEF, Samantha has the opportunity to apply her passion and experience to a technology she believes in. Samatha finds fulfillment in contributing to the industry and, most importantly, bringing hospitality back to the dining experience.

With an extensive operations background at Hillstone Restaurant Group, Samantha is truly passionate about the hospitality industry.

With a background in hospitality, Ashley fully understands the intrinsic value that xtraCHEF provides to the ever-changing industry. After five years as a Bartender in NYC, she loves being on the other side, working with a company that is eradicating the unnecessary chaos and helping move the hospitality industry forward.

Chloe brings several years of front of house operations and SaaS customer success experience to the xtraCHEF team. At xtraCHEF, she combines her love of hospitality with her passion for efficient, smart technology. Chloe has a degree in Psychology and minors in both Women’s Studies and Exercise Science from Ithaca College.

Most mornings, you can find Chloë training on the Schuylkill river, with the goal of representing the United States at a World Rowing Championship.

Account Executive
Coming from a sales floor of about 100 executives, Ricki now enjoys being a part of a close knit team with whom she can grow and prosper.

An indefatigable professional, passionate about envisioning products of value to our customers in the restaurant technology landscape. Sunil has wide IT experience demonstrating a range of competencies and skills like leading Product and Development teams, Team Management and Project/Program Management. In his leisure, he loves playing and watching cricket. He also cooks great Biryani, so don’t forget to ask him for a Biryani treat.

As a Senior Product Manager, Sunil sits at the critical intersection of our Product Development and Customer Success teams.

With over six years of experience the hospitality industry, Christina is excited to leverage her knowledge at xtraCHEF to help restaurants grow. She is a recent graduate of CUNY Hunter where she spent much of her time living abroad in France, Taiwan, and China.

With over six years of experience the hospitality industry, Christina is excited to leverage her knowledge at xtraCHEF to help restaurants grow.

Sridhar manages the overall delivery and operations of xtraCHEF in India. Over the last 25 years, he has earned extensive experience in building and leading off-shore teams as well as developing and supporting product portfolios and application services to global Fortune 100 clients, primarily in banking, financial services, and insurance. Sridhar has a Master’s degree in Information Technology.

Director of Delivery & Operations
Sridhar manages all aspects of product development, delivery, and operations for our xtraCHEF teams in India.

Atit exemplifies the qualities of a versatile technology professional. He has nearly two decades of experience leading enterprise scale projects along with expertise in the development and delivery of strategic technology solutions across a number of sectors. Along with leading the engineering team, he is also responsible for guiding internal R&D efforts focused on developing new ways to deliver value to our customers amidst an ever-changing technology landscape.

He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.

VP, Engineering
The sous chef of our tech team, Atit leads the planning, design and development efforts. Once the order is placed, he is in charge!

Morgan joined xtraCHEF as a UX Designer after her time at Wix and NYU’s UX Design Program. Morgan gets jazzed by opportunities to design things that will make people’s lives easier and tasks more efficient. After years of branding and marketing in tech companies, she gravitated toward designing useful and meaningful interactive experiences—fulfilling a strong sense of service and purpose.

After a full day designing for xtraCHEF, Morgan hops right back on the computer to play all her favorite video games.

Morgan gets jazzed using her UX Design skills to make our product easier and more efficient for our customers to use.

An avid technologist, who decided to transition away from Government Consulting to an early stage startup, so he could move to New York and continue to build valuable solutions – without the bureaucracy! As an adventurous eater, Jonathan can be found checking out all of our clients’ cuisines…and going off menu. He knows you have uni back there!

Jonathan's last meal on Earth would be: Multiple Pisco Sours and a 20-Vegetable Fried Rice at our client, China Chilcano in Washington DC.

Mat is responsible for supporting inquiries any client, vendor, or third-party partner may request. Working across many departments, he ensures that problems are solved and solved quickly. Mat loves being part of the xtraChef team and working within its innovative, rapidly-evolving platform. In his spare time, Mat enjoys riding his bike around the city, whipping up dinner with his fiancée, and discovering new Philly breweries with friends.

In his role as a Software Support Analyst, Mat is responsible for supporting inquiries any client, vendor, or third-party partner may request.
Alex Sobeck brings over 10 years of experience in sales and marketing in both the gourmet food import/export business and document management and cloud services industries.
He’s a recent new father of twins. In his spare time, he enjoys grilling up a juicy steak, memorizing movie scripts, and following New York sports – Yankees, Jets and Knicks – to be exact.

Alex is an xtraCHEF Brand Ambassador and Business Development extraordinaire.

Dave was brought up in Michigan, and his first few jobs had him in both the back and front of house for several years – skills he still uses today. He moved across the country in 2008 to California, and currently resides in Berkeley. He’s got some strong opinions about Bay Area food being the best – though he concedes pizza is better in NYC.

David Slater

Customer Success Specialist
As a Customer Success Specialist, Dave helps xtraCHEF customers get set up for success by onboarding new clients and training new users.

Jeff is a solution-oriented team player whose deep experience in both food service operations (mmm…bagels) and the financial industry (mmm…data) allow him to understand the challenge and importance of gaining real-time visibility into costs, while also saving time. Prior, Jeff worked for 10+ years as a Vice President in Investment Banking & Venture Capital. Before that, he worked 10+ years at his family’s multi-unit QSR franchise.

Headquartered in NYC, Jeff is an Account Executive covering the East Coast. He wants to make your business and, thus your life, easier.

With a degree in Hospitality Management, Kelly spent the first half of her career in hotels and restaurants throughout Western NY and Texas. She then paired her passion for hospitality with the tech industry and began consulting with operators to introduce technology to make their lives easier and their restaurants more profitable by driving down costs and putting the focus back on the guest experience.

Kelly has a passion for introducing technology to address some of the restaurant industry's most common business problems.

Loga heads up the xtraCHEF engineering team in India. He has spent his 25+ year career in software project and product management. He’s a technologist with a firm grasp of business processes in various domains and has worked with a number of major software services organizations. Loga has a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and has earned experience delivering end-to-end, turnkey solutions in the areas of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Enterprise Content Managment (ECM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

Delivery Manager
As the Delivery Manager, Loga is responsible for delivering features & releases that do what they're supposed to do when they're supposed to do it.

Patti comes to xtraCHEF with 10 years experience leading SaaS product management at successful top tier technology and healthcare firms. Her previous work focused on building tools for physicians at the point of care and research. Her award-winning apps focused on leveraging clinical data to enable better patient outcomes through workflow driven applications for both web and mobile.

Patti has a degree in culinary arts and restaurant management and her partner is an executive chef for a restaurant group in Philadelphia.

Product Director
Patti brings both her experience in big data and a passion for culinary operations to the xtraCHEF team.

Prior to xtraCHEF, David worked in and managed restaurants. Having personally managed food cost and inventory for a multiple of different concepts, David is now showing his old peers how to better manage their costs with xtraCHEF. When he’s not helping restaurants become more profitable, you can find him at the beach, sailing or SCUBA diving.

David is a big fan of going out for long meals with friends and family. His longest dinner was 6 hours long.
