Explain your role at xtraCHEF.

I’m the Brand Manager here at xtraCHEF and that basically means I’m in charge of anything visual for the brand! Any graphics, videos, photos, logos, icons, you name it have come through me.

What did you do before you came xtraCHEF?

Before xtraCHEF I was a designer at a small studio, then I moved into marketing design for a payroll company until I joined xtraCHEF back in February!

What do you love about xtraCHEF?

It’s so cliché, but it’s the people. My team is great, and the whole xtraCHEF team is full of great people who are dedicated to their jobs and this industry.

Why are you passionate about the restaurant industry?

I’ve always loved food and being around food. Growing up, I was always working in restaurants and always had dreams of opening my own someday (still do!).

What do you do when you’re not working?

I’m usually baking bread; it’s occupied most of my time outside of work these days. Other than that, I play video games, spend time outside with my plants, and read.

What’s your best WFH tip?

Having a dedicated space to work in is vital for me: it adds a sense of normalcy and I have a mini “commute” in the morning that helps set me up for the day. I’m really lucky to have a spare bedroom that I was able to convert into an office, but even if you don’t have that, just a small setup that can resemble a workspace should do the trick.

What’s your favorite quarantine hobby/show/book/etc.?

I’ve been watching through Star Trek: The Next Generation and I have to say it’s fantastic and still holds up. I’m also currently reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (all 5 books) and it’s made me laugh out loud more times than I’ve ever done while reading.
