Chloë Lewis is a Software Support Analyst and resident competitive rower at xtraCHEF! We spoke with her about her position at the company as well as her interests outside of work.

What is your role at xtraCHEF?

I’m a Software Support Analyst! I work with our customers to troubleshoot their issues (not that we have many ?) and make sure the platform is running smoothly for them. I insure they’re getting the most out of what our software has to offer.

What did you do before xtraCHEF?

Before xtraCHEF I was working at an early stage EdTech startup, doing customer success and implementation.

What do you do love about xtraCHEF?

I love xtraCHEF because the work is fun and engaging. I like helping restaurants reach their highest potential and empowering them to focus on providing an unforgettable experience to their guests.

Why are you passionate about the restaurant industry?

I’m passionate about the restaurant industry because I think food is the best way to bring people together and establish community. I love Samin Nosrat’s take on this concept. She loves to cook but above all she loves to bring people together through food.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

When I’m not working, I spend my time on the Schuylkill River training to represent the USA at a World Rowing Championship!

What’s your most memorable restaurant experience?

New Year’s Day Dinner at Zahav (pork shoulder braised in duck schmaltz with pomegranate! So good!)

You shared this great pic (showing off your xtraCHEF gear). What are you doing here?

The shot is on the Main Salmon River in Idaho. I grew up running the Main Salmon and Middle Fork of the Salmon Rivers every summer. Now I go back every year and spend a week or two paddling white-water kayaks and guiding.
